I went to Guy Schmidt GM at 400 S. Brand Street in Glendale CA. to get warranty work performed on my car.
A side molding came off for the second time on the car door. I was advised by their service consultant that it wasn’t under warranty. The factory only reimburses them once for this type of repair. I asked for a GM phone number which he gave me, and after talking to the factory person who was very helpful, they told me they would call me later that day with an answer and help from this dealership. Guy Schmidt service consultant then told me that even if the factory approves the repair that they would not perform the work. I believe this is because they don’t get paid for warranty work?
I talked to Guy Schmidt sales manager who was very willing to help, so lets see if he does. I will keep you informed as to the out come of this miner repair to see if GM and Guy Schmidt honor their warranties. Otherwise GM or Guy Schmidt may not be the car company or dealership for you either.
